CEREMONIES

THAT CELEBRATE YOU

At the end of the day, my goal is to see you both walk away thinking “that was amazing”!

Everyone has different expectations of their wedding ceremony and I don’t expect you to have all of the answers up front!  That’s why it’s my job to find out what you love and (just as importantly – what you hate about weddings).  It can feel daunting or overwhelming when you start the planning process and I’m able to break it down for you into manageable decisions.
My ceremonies definitely do not reflect a one size fits all approach. I’ll spend time listening to your ideas, I’ll ask you some questions, and I’ll give you some advice.
I love hearing your stories and getting to know you and what makes you work as a couple.  There are some couples who have a very clear vision and idea about what they want and I love being able to help them see their ideas come to life.
So, let’s start planning!

OTHER CEREMONY SERVICES

COMMITMENT CEREMONY
A commitment ceremony is for those couples who have made a commitment to each other and wish to publicly declare their devotion before family and friends without taking the step into a legal marriage, for whatever reason.

A commitment ceremony can look just like a wedding, but with no legalities. Commitment ceremonies range from rituals to bless your relationship, or a big party to celebrate your love.

At the completion of the ceremony you will be presented with a beautiful ‘Certificate of Commitment’, which is suitable for framing, to keep as a memento of your special day.

RENEWAL OF VOWS
A reneweal of vows is a ceremony in which a married couple renew or reaffirm their wedding vows. This is a beautiful way of celebrating the continuing love and commitment between the couple.

A vow renewal ceremony can be used to celebrate important anniversaries, or to re-affirm original commitments at any time throughout life. These vows can be even more touching as they draw upon many years of love and support from within a marriage.

You can commemorate this special occasion any time and any place you like. It can be as elaborate as a grand wedding or as simple as a backyard party.

Perhaps you have been married overseas and wish to conduct a ceremony in Australia?

This ceremony has no legal effect. It is a public statement by a couple of their continuing affection, love and commitment to each other.

The special people in your lives can take part in your ceremony: your children, guests who were at your wedding and particular friends and relatives.

NAMING CEREMONY
A Naming ceremony is a wonderful celebration of welcome for a new family member in the presence of those who matter most – family and friends.

Naming can be empowering and deeply fulfilling as you bless your child and bestow their name, choose godparents or mentors, honour grandparents, plant a tree, read poetry, sing, feast, and generally celebrate the joy of your child, in your own style.

Certificates are provided for parents and godparents to commemorate the event.

I place a great deal of importance on creating a naming ceremony unique to you – reflecting your values, your personalities, and your dreams for your child. The ceremony can be as elaborate as you wish, and you can have as much input as you wish into its form and content.

A naming ceremony is a wonderful alternative for those without religious convictions to celebrate the birth of a child.

FROM MY BEAUTIFUL COUPLES

It is beyond words how incredible you made our day. I was recently asked what was the favourite part of our wedding. Sincerely my favourite part of our wedding was our ceremony. Keagan, now my husband, has said it really helped having your support while waiting for me to arrive at the ceremony. Shelley the warmth, kind energy that you have, along with your professionalism and the extra personalised touches from you were amazing.  I have the happiest memories of our ceremony, I wish I could express how so thankful we are to have had you as our celebrant.

Even the videographer had said to me it was honestly one of the best ceremony’s he’d seen. Thank you so very much for making our wedding ceremony just amazing

Keagan and Jade, Sandstone Point Hotel, 31 December 2018

I couldn’t have asked for a better person for the job. Shelley is so warm and funny and supportiveShe gets it! She made my partner and I feel so at ease throughout the whole process and on the day she was absolutely amazing, I would recommend her a million times over. Beautiful woman!

Trev and Jess, Bribie Island, 23 April 2019.

I don’t even know where to start. Shelley, you are simply amazing and I cannot recommend you enough. Shelley made sure the whole process leading up to the day was super easy, we had multiple catch ups to make sure everything was on track and everything was how we wanted it. And it exceeded our expectations. I was so nervous on the day and when I saw Shelley she instantly made me feel at ease. I wish I could relive it all over again. Shelley, I can’t thank you enough.
